Why should you avoid exercising during an illness

Any illness, even a common cold, weakens the immune system. Hence it is wise to avoid exercising when unwell.

During a long-standing illness – it is the same, the immune system is weak and a workout will only strain it further.

Exercising during an illness can also lead to injuries since your energy levels and concentration are not 100%.

Worse, one could faint while exercising.

Do not feel guilty about not being able to exercise if you are unwell – it’s time to take a break!
