Sugar may depress men
If you are feeling low day after day just check if you are taking more than 12 teaspoonful of sugar daily.
Eating a diet rich in sugar may make men depressed, scientists have said.
‘High-sugar diets have a number of influences on our health but our study shows that there might also be a link between sugar and mood disorders, particularly among men,’ said Anika Knuppel of University College London.
The team analysed the sugar intake and occurrence of mental disorders in over 5,000 men for 22 years.
It was found by the team that men who consumed over 67 gram had a 23% increased chance of incident common mental disorders after five years.
It is fine to have sugar but men should be careful and restrict its intake to about 60 grams or 12 teaspoonful daily!
