Pumice stone in beauty kit
For a woman, pumice stone in her beauty kit can do wonders to the skin if used properly.
Pumice stone is a sponge-like light stone that has its origins from the lava.
Pumice stone sloughs off tough, dry skin and dead skin cells by gentle rubbing on the skin. The stone is best used in the feet, legs, thighs, knees, upper arm and elbows.
Avoid its use on the face. Also, avoid in areas that are bruised, cut, uneven, red, or discolored.
Regular, gentle use of pumice stone can prevent growth of hair and may lead to reduced or total stoppage of waxing.
An added benefit is it makes your skin look younger too, as it removes the dead skin cells.
The best time to use pumice stone is during a shower when the skin is wet, soft and soapy.
Clean the pumice stone after use and keep it to dry until next use. Do not use a pumice stone that has uneven surfaces, is rough or is discolored.
