Protein that spreads cancer found

A protein that spreads breast cancer to brain has been found.

Spread of cancer to the brain is a complication of advanced breast cancer and has little hope in view of available treatment options. That the spread has taken place is known only when symptoms  like headache and seizure happen.

It is hoped that this new protein will prove to be a ‘promising’ new target to fight the disease.
