Physical intimacy after a heart attack
Studies done by Dr. Dietrich Rothenbacher, a professor in Germany and his team, indicate that sexual encounter in an unlikely trigger for a heart attack. According to them, sexual encounter generally involves moderate physical activity which is equal to around climbing two flight of stairs or taking a brisk walk.
Sexual activity is a concern for many heart attack patients, but this research indicates that it is not a risk factor for subsequent adverse cardiovascular events.
