Natural care for daily beauty

Most women buy expensive skin creams or face packs in the hope that it will help rejuvenate the face better. But the age old grandma’s recipes still work. Try some face packs that are cheaper and not only have long-lasting results but also ensure that your skin stays clean and blemish-free.

RIPE BANANA: Take a ripe banana and mash it well. Apply it on the mane; in due course of time it will make it smooth, soft and shiny. Applying the mash to the face will clear blemishes. A few drops of lemon added to the mash will help lighten the skin and get rid of pigmentation.

ORANGE: Make a pulp of the orange peel and apply it on the face; it make your skin brighter within minutes. Apply it on daily basis if the skin is tanned or has pigments. Mix banana pulp to make the orange pulp thicker.

PAPAYA: During summer papaya allows the face to cool down a bit. Take a chunk of papaya that was kept overnight in the fridge and make a paste the following day. Apply the paste on the face and keep for about half an hour before washing it with lukewarm water. This will ensure that your face stays nourished as well as free from marks and blemishes. You may use a moisturizer to keep the skin smooth.

STRAWBERRY: This fruit is good for those who have fine lines and wrinkles associated with ageing skin. Mash some strawberries and apply it on your face at least twice in a week. If there is irritation on the face after applying the pack, do not worry as after a while you will experience a cooling effect. The face also brightens up.

HONEY AND LEMON: The best face pack to lighten their skin is that of honey and lemon. Applying it on the face and keeping it for about 15 minutes will lighten your skin and also tighten the pores, thereby making your facial skin a shade lighter than it is.

SEASONAL FRUITS: You could make face pack of any of the seasonal fruits and apply for about 15 to 20 minutes twice weekly.

Grandma’s remedy works….try it once.
