Momentary absent-mindedness is meditative!
If you were absent-minded for a short while; you were actually in a meditative state! You were so focused in whatever you were doing that everything else appeared oblivious to you. In meditation too, you focus on a particular thing (thought, object, activity etc.) and forget the rest.
It is only chronic absent-mindedness that can be a worrisome issue, just as stress for a short while can be good but it is the chronic stress that needs intervention.
Momentary absent-mindedness is a meditative state and perhaps a natural antidote to chronic stress!
