Gel that help tissue regenerate
An injectable gel has been developed that helps skin wounds heal quickly. The material creates an instant scaffold that allows new tissue to latch on and grow within the cavities formed between the spheres of gel that are interlinked.
The research published in the journal Nature Materials was led by researchers Dino Di Carlo, Tatiana Segura, Donald Griffin and Westbrook Weaver of the University of California Los Angeles.
New tissue continues to grow until the wound is completely healed.
The wound healing now with conventional methods is slow and fragile; the new material will revolutionize wound healing.
