Detox after a party
Why detox, is a question people often ask. Detox is necessary because we eat a lot of food that is not really healthy – especially too much of sugars, fats and sometimes even proteins, as a result the body accumulates toxins that do not find an easy way out of the system.
Detox is not about starving yourself or eating tasteless foods. In fact, detox helps you jumpstart your metabolism and make you feel fitter.
The only thing that you definitely have to do is to give up sugar for a few days.

- Green tea: A great detox agent, green tea is loaded with antioxidants that destroys the free radicals in your body. Additionally, green tea improves brain function, helps in burning fat and even reduces the risk of type 2 diabetes.
- Green leafy vegetables: Vegetables like spinach, broccoli, spinach, asparagus, sprouts, cabbage, celery and lettuce helps the immune system function efficiently. Vegetable salads can make a positive difference to your body.
- Fiber containing foods: Any food that contains fiber – fruits, vegetables, nut, legumes and lentils contain fiber that have excellent detox properties and they cleanse your system from within.
- Ginger & garlic: Regular intake of ginger is good for the liver. Have ginger in foods, tea or simply in hot water. Garlic is another fantastic detox food. Garlic works by boosting the immune system; and also helps remove toxins from your body .
- Lemons: A glass of lemon juice preferably after getting up in the can flush out the toxins and later on in the day help in digesting the food efficiently.
