Cinnamon to prevent heart disease
The risk of heart disease can be reduced if cinnamon (Dalchini in Hindi) is taken. Heart disease, as you are aware is world’s most common cause of premature death.
Just 1 gram of cinnamon daily has beneficial effects on blood levels in people with type 2 diabetes.
Cinnamon is known to reduce levels of total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol and triglycerides.
Recently, a study concluded that just 120 milligrams of cinnamon daily can have these effects. In this study, it was found that cinnamon also increased HDL (good cholesterol) levels.
Cinnamon was shown to reduce blood pressure in animal studies.
Cinnamon can improve some of the key risk factors for heart disease – including cholesterol, triglycerides and blood pressure.
