Calories burnt in Surya Namaskar (SN)

Surya Namaskar (SN) or sun salutation is a gesture of showing gratitude to the sun. It consists of 12 yoga asanas which help bring mind, body and breath together. Usually done in the morning, it revitalises the body and refreshes the mind thus making you feel energetic throughout the day.

Surya namaskar is a complete workout.

One round of SN takes about one minute and burns up to approx. 14 calories for an average weighing person.

If Surya Namaskar is done for 15 minutes approx. calories burnt will be 14 x 15 = 210.
