Aloneness is meditative
Aloneness is a state when you feel your own presence; it is non-disturbing; hence meditative. You do not need the presence of others. Even if people are around, unless you have some work with them you do not even feel the presence of others. You are so engrossed.
In contrast loneliness is when you feel the absence of other(s).
In aloneness you look inside, you introspect. You are with yourself, you are joyful. The mind is calm, there is no disturbance, hence you can focus on doing what you want to. You are at your optimum, you are productive, you create.
In loneliness you look outside, for support. The mind is ruffled; it is disturbing. You are unable to focus. Your productivity declines.
To the outside world, both aloneness and loneliness appear the same. In reality, the person who is alone is joyful, is enjoying while the person who is lonely is looking for joy, is not enjoying.
The trick is to enjoy even when you are lonely – have you tried; you can train yourself to convert loneliness to aloneness.
