Milk can delay knee osteoarthritis (KO) in women

A research published in the American College of Rheumatology journal Arthritis Care & Research says that glass of milk can delay knee osteoarthritis (KO) in women. Currently KO has no cure but researchers say drinking milk daily has been linked to reduced progression of the disease.

Although some research suggests that women with osteoporosis can benefit from drinking cow’s milk, other studies have shown no benefit.

Milk has been consumed since ages, and there have been no negative effects noted especially if taken in moderate amounts. It may be worthwhile for women having KO to try if having a glass of milk daily works for them.
