Vary walking speed to burn more calories

Two engineering researchers from Ohio State University have published in Biology Letters, a study that for the first time has shown that changing walking speeds could burn upto 20% more calories.

This means that if you are walking outdoors, walk at varying speeds to burn more calories. Ditto while walking on the treadmill – walk at varying speeds and slopes and you would end up burning upto 20% more calories.
