Keeping skin young
Your skin may be in great shape today…but it’s not going to remain so like this forever. Also be aware that skin begins to change and mature (age) in your late 20s.
Skin anti-ageing steps should be taken much early and not in your late 30s or 40s, a mistake most women do.
The use of following items on a regular basis will ensure that the skin is kept supple, smooth and younger for a long-long time:
CLEANSER
Never use hot water to clean your skin as it makes it dry and flaky, instead warm or cold water must be used. Use the right cleanser for your skin and the one that is paraben-free as these are gentle and works for both skin types – the oily and well as dry.
MOISTERIZER
Apply a good quality skin moisturizer twice daily.
SUNSCREEN
The skin needs protection from UV light (emitted from the sun) 24/7. It’s not like that sunscreen is not required in the monsoons. A SPF of 30 is generally considered good.
SCRUB
Just as too much exfoliating the skin is no good, exfoliating at all is equally harmful. With time, the dead skin tends to accumulate and cause flakiness and breakouts. Using a mild scrub once a week exfoliates the skin. It is good to exfoliate all over the body rather that just doing it to the face.
NUTRITION
The food that you eat does impact your skin. Hence, it is important that you avoid junk foods including the fried ones and instead have plenty of fresh fruits, vegetables, whole grains and nuts in your daily diet.
