Coffee can shorten lifespan

If you are drinking more than 4 cups of coffee a day (or 28 cups of coffee per week) and are younger than 55 years of age, beware. You are at a 50 % increased mortality (death) risk. And this applies to both men and women.

A study involving 40,000 men and women and an average follow-up of 16 years has claimed.

The research showed that those who consumed more than 28 cups of coffee per week were at a 21 % higher risk of death from all causes. The reserachers found that those who drank more coffee were more likely to smoke and have lower level of cardiovascular fitness.

The reserach is coffee consumption is ongoing with many claims. What this study tells us is that younger men and women should reduce their coffee intake to leass than four cups daily, have a regular exercise program and quit smoking if a long and nice life is what they desire.
