How-to manage the hangover
The first day of the new year for many begins with a hangover, mainly because of a drinking spree. You wake up with a headache, nausea, dizziness, fatigue, irritability, etc.
Can you help yourself. Yes…..of course.
Drink lots of water throughout the day as alcohol has dehydrated you. Do not stay empty stomach, even if you do not feel like eating anything. Simple, easy to take food items like biscuits, bread, yoghurt (curd), bananas, apples, etc. help.
One tablet of Brufen after some food alongwith plenty of water also helps. Likewise, tomato juice with a few drops of lime taken after waking up in the morning is also an effective hangover remedy; it reduces dizziness due to its fructose content.
Coconut water, due to its potassium also is known to treat the hangover. Alternatively, orange or pineapple juice also help.
A tablespoon of honey in warm water due to its fructose levels is known to manage the hangover.
Ginger, either a piece of it chewed or having it as ginger tea is also effective.
There is not one but so many ways by which you can manage the hangover – as you would have at least a few of the food items mentioned above. Try it the next time you over-indulge due to any reason and suffer a hangover.
