Tips to balance work and life
Life is competitive, but it’s your choice to compete or not and how much. Whether in competition or not, you can’t escape stress. Hence it is important to understand life in general and also learn to manage stress.
Stress affects everyone; even those who are non-competitive. And happiness or unhappiness is seen in all types of people – the competing and the non-competing, the rich and the poor. Nothing is worth it if you are not happy at the end of the day. Happiness is in the air for everyone…you must know how to catch it. The secret lies in seeing, experiencing happiness at every moment of life. Value the importance of family, friendship, respect and goodwill. Moments of sadness are experienced by one and all…..do not let sadness hover around you for too long.
Work at a comfortable pace: Manage your time well. Discuss time constraints with your superiors. Hurry stresses you and makes you liable to errors. Leave workplace in time.
Anger management: All living beings with a brain have anger in them. It is not about becoming a sage but knowing to know how much to vent your anger. Too much expression of anger is not good and so is too much of its suppression. Always introspect after demonstrating anger – it helps you manage it better the next time. Remember, anger also drains your mental and emotional energies.
Healthy living: Engage in yoga, physical activity, eat healthy meals, avoid processed foods, walk in open space (come out of the cabins), relax with music or a book, sleep 7 hours daily.
