Tooth loss affects memory
In the elderly, ages 55 and older, tooth loss is linked with loss of memory too.
According to a study, elderly who have fewer natural teeth intact perform poorly on memory tests, reported ‘LiveScience‘.
The lesson out of this research is that it is important to preserve the tooth to avoid memory losses in older age.
Preservation of teeth is achieved by regular brushing, flossing and visits to a dentist as these activities not only help in keeping the teeth intact to enjoy foods but also to prevent memory loss and even heart attacks.
